44 Odia Students Return Safely From J&K Amid Rising Tensions

Bhubaneswar: In the wake of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, the Odisha government has ensured the safe return of 44 Odia students stranded in Jammu and Kashmir.

The state authorities acted swiftly to facilitate their journey back home, prioritizing their safety and well-being.

Following instructions from the state government, the Commerce and Transport Department took immediate steps to arrange transportation and support for the students. These efforts have ensured that the students from various districts of Odisha have successfully reached their destinations across the state.

According to the Commerce and Transport Department, the students were met with assistance upon their arrival at major railway stations in Odisha.

ସରକାରଙ୍କ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶରେ ବାଣିଜ୍ୟ ଓ ପରିବହନ ବିଭାଗ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଜମ୍ମୁ-କାଶ୍ମୀରରୁ ଫେରୁଥିବା ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ନିମନ୍ତେ ସମସ୍ତ ସହାୟତା ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା କରାଯାଉଛି। ଏହି କ୍ରମରେ ଚାରି ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ଭଦ୍ରକ ରେଳଷ୍ଟେସନରୁ ଗନ୍ତବ୍ୟସ୍ଥଳ ପହଞ୍ଚାଇବା ସୁବିଧା କରାଯାଇଛି।@BibhutiJena93 @CTOdisha @IPR_Odisha @RTOBHADRAK pic.twitter.com/QmX2ULxRPH

Three students, who traveled aboard the Odisha Sampark Kranti Express, were received at Balasore railway station and helped to reach their respective hometowns. Four other students arriving at Bhadrak railway station received similar assistance, while five students who arrived at Jajpur Keonjhar Road railway station were also provided with the necessary support for onward travel.

Additionally, a student returning via the Tejas-Rajdhani Express was given assistance at Balasore railway station and escorted safely to her home.

Moreover, five students were facilitated to reach their destinations from Cuttack Railway Station. Eighteen students who returned by the Odisha Sampark Kranti Express were assisted in reaching their destinations from Bhubaneswar Railway Station.

Additionally, eight students who returned by the Kalinga Utkal Express were facilitated to reach their destinations from Jharsuguda Railway Station.
