Bhadrak: A huge fish, 5 ft in length and weighing around 30 kg has been caught from river Baitarini by local fishermen while fishing near Piteipur in Sohada panchayat under Dhamnagar block in Bhadrak district.
The huge fish is locally known by the name ‘Saranta’.
With the rise of water level in the river following rains over the last few days, this huge fish got trapped in the net while Ashok Tarai, a local fisherman was fishing on Thursday.
A large crowd gathered to see it as no one had seen such a huge fish being caught in the area in the recent past.
