Baripada: Baripada police have arrested six persons and apprehended five juveniles (Child in Conflict with Law) in connection with two cases.
Police have seized 70 stolen mobile phones; 4 motorbikes; weapons of offence like swords, hammers, rods, screwdrivers, etc; Rs 46,270 in cash; and 16 pieces of gold and silver ornaments (approximate value Rs 2 lakh) from the possession of the accused persons.
While police have forwarded the six accused who are major to court, the five CCLs have been produced before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB).
Seven out of the 70 mobile phones recovered by the police have been handed over to their rightful owners.
Mayurbhanj Superintendent of Police S Susree addressing a press conference informed that verification of all the recovered stolen goods including the mobile phones is underway and these will be handed over to their rightful owners.
