51 LPG Cylinders Seized In Suspected Illegal Trade At Sampur In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Civil Supplies Enforcement Squad on Friday conducted a surprise verification at an eviction site in Sampur, Ward No. 23 under Bharatpur Police Station and seized a total of 51 LPG cylinders.

During the inspection, officials recovered 51 cylinders of 14.2 kg, 6 cylinders of 2 kg, and 5 cylinders of 5 kg capacity. All cylinders were found empty and no claimant was present at the spot.The squad suspects the cylinders were being used for illegal LPG business in violation of government guidelines.

The seizure was carried out in the presence of Commissionerate Police personnel and Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) officials.

Necessary legal action has been initiated against the unidentified persons involved in the alleged illegal activity.
