Puri: As many as 58 persons have tested positive for scrub typhus in Puri district in the month of September, informed Dr Biraja Shankar Rath, Chief District Medical & Public Health Officer (CDM&PHO), Puri.
Dr Rath said that out of 358 blood samples tested in the month of September 58 have tested positive for scrub typhus.
He said, massive awareness programmes on scrub typhus is being undertaken in the district.
However, no death due to scrub typhus has been reported from the district, he added.
