74 Naxals Surrendered In Odisha In Last Five Years: CM

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the Odisha Assembly that 74 Naxals and militias have surrendered between January 1, 2020, and December 31, 2024, and have reintegrated into mainstream society.

In a written response to a query by Baramba’s independent MLA, Bijaya Kumar Dalabehera, the Chief Minister disclosed that ₹1,49,44,000 has been spent on rehabilitating 50 of the 74 surrendered Maoists. They were deemed eligible under the criteria outlined in the State government’s “Surrender and Rehabilitation Scheme.”
