Boudh: At least nine labourers were injured, two of them critically, after a pick-up van transporting them crashed against a tree and overturned near Burpata Chhak under Boudh police limits on Monday morning.
The injured workers were on their way from Dahakpandi to Subarnapur for electrical work. The driver of the pick-up van lost control of the wheels while crossing Burpata Street. As a result, the vehicle hit a tree and overturned.
Hearing the screams of the laborers, locals rushed to the spot and rescued them. On being informed, police arrived at the spot and admitted the injured to a nearby medical center. The condition of two injured labourers is said to be critical.
