Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has hailed the BJP’s victory in the Nuapada by-election as a testament to the party’s commitment to development and welfare. In a statement, Majhi expressed his gratitude to the people of Nuapada for rejecting the opposition’s propaganda and false promises.
“The outstanding performance and victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Nuapada by-election has heralded a new chapter in the political landscape of Odisha,” Majhi said. “This victory proves the complete faith and trust of the people in the policies, ideals, and welfare programmes of our government.”
Majhi congratulated the newly elected MLA Jay Dholakia and thanked the party’s state president Manmohan Samal, ministers, MPs, and MLAs for their efforts. “Today, Modi ji’s leadership is the only definition of development in our country,” he said. “Under his leadership, our government has been working tirelessly for the welfare of the people and development of the state.”
Majhi assured the people of Nuapada that the government is committed to their development and will work towards building a prosperous Nuapada and Odisha.
BJP candidate Jay Dholakia made a resounding victory in the Nuapada by-election with a huge vote of 123869, while Congress nominee Ghasiram Majhi secured the second spot with 40121 votes. BJD’s Snehangini Chhuria slipped to third position, having 3,8408 votes.
