Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for introducing the historic Next-Generation GST reforms. These reforms aim to empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), create jobs, boost consumption, and enhance the financial capacity of the people.

The upgraded 2-slab structure brings about a welcome change in the way we produce and consume. With easier compliance and reduced GST on MSMEs, manufacturers and producers will be encouraged to build for India and make in India. This, in turn, will lead to a resilient and stronger economy built on the bedrock of an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

In a tweet, CM Majhi highlighted that these reforms tie in with the Prime Minister’s vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Make in India, and form a more cohesive action plan towards Viksit Bharat 2047.

He emphasised that the government’s commitment to inclusive growth and ease of living for all is reflected in these reforms. CM Majhi also reiterated the mantra ‘Nagrik Devo Bhavaḥ’ (citizens are gods), underscoring the government’s focus on citizen welfare.
