Bhubaneswar: After respite for a short period from the gruelling heat due to thunderstorm activities, the heat wave condition has returned to the State again with mercury going up to 45 degrees C in several places across Odisha on Tuesday.
Three weather stations recorded temperature over 45 degrees C with Boudh emerging as the hottest in the State at 45. 9 Degrees C.
Sonepur and Titilagarh remained in the second and third position witnessing 45.3 and 45 degrees C respectively.
14 other places have recorded over 40 Degrees C temperature. Several town of western Odisha sizzled at over 40 degrees C temperature.
Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bolangir recorded temperature 44.8, 44.6, 44.5 degrees C respectively.
Other places witnessed over 40 degrees C are Bhawanipatna, Hirakud, Phulbani, Nuapada, Talcher, Bargarh, Malkangiri, Sundergarh, Paralakhemundi, Angul and Nayagarh, the IMD informed.
