Bhubaneswar: A businessman was robbed of gold jewellery and cash at his Premnagar residence on Tuesday.
According to reports, P. Rajprabhakar Rao, owner of Rajkamal Agency, lives in Premnagar with his family. Recently, his family members left town, leaving him alone. He usually goes for morning walks, and today was no exception. After returning, he found the main door locked with a different lock. Breaking it open, he found two almirahs broken and belongings scattered. Approximately 1 kg of gold jewellery and Rs 1.30 lakh in cash were stolen from the almirahs.
Upon being informed, Bada Bazaar police began investigation and launched a manhunt for the burglars.
