AI Camera Helps Arrest Three Poachers In Similipal

Baripada: A special enforcement team from Similipal South Wildlife Division has arrested three wildlife poachers based on evidence from AI camera photographs.

The team seized two illegal country-made guns and one snare from the accused.

The accused are Budhuram Hansdah, Muniram Hembram, and Madhab Sing, all residents of Badkhaman in Mayurbhanj district, Deputy Director of STR, Samrat Gouda.

Cases have been registered under the Wildlife Protection Act, and the accused have been forwarded to the court of CJM, Baripada for judicial remand, he added.

Further investigation is underway, and cases under the Arms Act, 1959 will also be filed.
