Bhubaneswar: In a significant move, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhubaneswar has directed all its staff members, including those on vacation or leave, to report for duty immediately.

This decision comes in light of the current situation in the country, as per an official order issued by the institute.

“In view of the impending situation, no leave of any kind, including vacation and sanction leave, is to be granted to any officer except on medical grounds, till further order,” the order said.

According to the order, all leaves, including vacation and sanctioned leave, have been cancelled until further notice. The only exception to this directive is for medical grounds, where leave may be granted. The institute has also made it clear that any previously sanctioned leaves now stand cancelled, and staff members who are currently on leave are expected to resume their duties without delay.

The directive applies to all faculty members, residents, and other staff members and officers of the institute. They have been informed that they need to report for duty immediately, and this order will come into effect right away.
