Bhubaneswar: AIIMS Bhubaneswar has been recognised as the top government healthcare facility in the category of linking health records under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), the institute said in a statement on Friday.
The award was conferred during a two-day ‘Chintan Shivir’ held in Bhubaneswar on January 19 and 20, organised by the National Health Authority (NHA) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
The recognition was presented by Chief Secretary Anu Garg to AIIMS Bhubaneswar Executive Director Ashutosh Biswas, along with IT Committee Chairman Manoj Kumar Mohanty, acknowledging the institute’s exemplary performance in digitally linking patient health records in line with ABDM objectives.
The Chintan Shivir served as a national platform for reviewing progress and outlining the future roadmap of digital health initiatives under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. Senior policymakers and health administrators deliberated on strengthening digital health infrastructure and improving interoperability across healthcare systems.
The event witnessed participation from representatives of 27 states and 7 Union Territories, highlighting the nationwide focus on accelerating digital transformation in healthcare delivery.
The achievement underscores AIIMS Bhubaneswar’s growing role as a leader in implementing digital health solutions and advancing the vision of a unified, patient-centric digital health ecosystem in India.
