Bhubaneswar: Veteran Ollywood actor Uttam Mohanty who is in critical condition was airlifted to Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital for advanced medical treatment.
According to sources close to the actor, he has been shifted outside the state for better medical care and has been taken to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon in Delhi NCR. Reportedly, Mohanty is suffering from cirrhosis of liver and is stated to be in critical condition.
Earlier, Uttam Mohanty was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, where he was undergoing treatment in the ICU and was placed on ventilator support.
The news of his deteriorating health has left many film lovers and fans deeply saddened.
Well-wishers have expressed their concern and are praying for his speedy recovery.
The actor fell suddenly ill during the shooting of Babusan Films’ upcoming movie Bou Butu Bhoota. Following his health complications, he was immediately admitted to a private hospital.
Directed by Jagadish Mishra, the film features Uttam Mohanty alongside his wife Aparajita and son Babusan. Actress Archita will be seen playing the lead role in the movie.
