Bolangir: The Bolangir district administration on Thursday issued an order declaring that all government and private schools and Anganwadi centers in the district would remain closed on Thursday in view of the heavy rainfall warning in the district and the red alert issued by the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) today.

“In view of heavy rainfall warning in Balangir district, all government and private schools and AWCs shall remain closed on 14th September 2023,” an office order issued by the office of the District Collector read.

It is worth mentioning that the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for heavy rain in several districts of Odisha, including Bolangir, under the influence of a low-pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal along the Odisha coast.
