Bhubaneswar: Ama Bus services to and from the Master Canteen Terminal are likely to be affected as the ongoing strike by drivers associated with ride-hailing platforms has triggered law-and-order concerns in the city, the Comprehensive Region Urban Transport (CRUT) said in a public notice on Wednesday.
According to CRUT, buses operating on the affected routes will continue to ferry commuters through diverted routes but will skip entering the Master Canteen Terminal.
The move has been taken as a precautionary measure amid the prevailing situation, while ensuring that public transport services continue to operate, the transport agency said.
Commuters using Ama Bus services to and from Master Canteen have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and make necessary alternative arrangements in view of the temporary changes in operations.
CRUT said the operational changes are temporary and that further updates regarding the bus services will be communicated from time to time.
The advisory comes amid the ongoing strike by drivers associated with ride-hailing platforms, which has led to concerns over traffic movement and public safety in parts of Bhubaneswar.
Commuters have been urged to stay updated on route diversions and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
