Bhubaneswar: Two Amrit Bharat Express, including Malda Town-Bengaluru Amrit Bharat via Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam, flagged off by the Prime Minister on December 30, received a grand welcome at various stations. In Odisha and northern AP, the Malda Town-Bengaluru Amrit Bharat Express was welcomed with much fanfare amidst the rhythmic drum beats and traditional dance at Jaleswar, Balasore and Soro, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur under the jurisdiction of the South Eastern Railway (SER) in Odisha.
This train also witnessed a grand welcome at Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, and Visakhapatnam Railway stations in northern Andhra Pradesh under the East Coast Railway (ECoR) jurisdiction.
At Bhadrak station, MP Manjulata Mandal, former MLA Muktikant Mandal, social worker Sisir Kumar Mishra, and social worker Manasmita Khuntia graced the occasion.
At Cuttack railway station, on Sunday morning, Passenger Amenities Committee Member Dilip Mallik and social worker Lalatendu Badu graced the function.
At Bhubaneswar railway station, MP Aparajita Sarangi, MP Sulata Deo, and MP Muzibulla Khan graced the programme along with ECoR General Manager Manoj Sharma and Divisional Railway Manager HS Bajwa.
Similarly, at Khurda Road railway station, MLA Suresh Kumar Routray and social worker Rashmi Ranjan Mahapatra graced the occasion. Apart from this, MP Chandrasekhar Sahoo and MLA Bikram Panda took part in the programme and welcomed the train at Brahmapur railway station.
People at various stations in ECoR jurisdiction were excited to capture selfies and photographs with the Amrit Bharat Train. The train was welcomed with a lot of enthusiasm amidst rhythms of drum beats and classical dance performances.
