Balasore: The body of an Anganwadi worker was found hanging inside the Maharajpur Anganwadi Kendra under Khantapada police limits in Balasore district on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Pragyan Paramita Das (23).
According to reports, Pragyan Paramita who was working as an Angawadi worker at the Anganwadi Kendra in Maharajpur panchayat was seen hanging inside the Kendra by her family members today afternoon.
She was rushed to Khantapada Community Health Centre (CHC) by her family members.
However, Pragyan Paramita was declared dead by the attending doctors at the CHC.
While the reason behind her alleged suicide is not known, her family members have alleged that she was murdered by her in-laws and then hanged to make it appear to be a case of suicide.
While tension prevailed at the CHC, Khantapada police detained Pragyan Paramita’s husband Bismit Ranjan Das.
