Bhubaneswar: A new fraud case has been registered against Hansita Abhilipsa for allegedly submitting false information in her passport application.
The case was disclosed by Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner Suresh Devadatta Singh, on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters, Commissioner Singh stated that during the ongoing investigation into a fraud case involving Abhilipsa, it was discovered that she had provided incorrect details to hide her previous criminal activities while applying for the passport.
The passport application form contained misleading information, specifically omitting references to her past offenses.
“During the investigation, we found that the accused altered her identity and failed to disclose her criminal history in the passport application form. She used the passport mechanism to conceal her past crimes,” Singh explained.
The Commissioner further clarified that the new case stems from Abhilipsa’s attempt to hide her criminal background by providing false information during the passport application process.
