Bhubaneswar: Ollywood actor turned politician Anubhav Mohanty has moved the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seeking a probe into the alleged multiple identities of his wife Varsha Priyadarshini.
In a letter to the Joint Director of ED, Bhubaneswar Zonal Office, he alleged that Varsha is using multiple identities with different sources of income and has been evading taxes.
Anubhav alleged that her middle name and surname have been spelled differently in her Passport, Aadhar card, and PAN card, and the same discrepancy has been noticed in her bank accounts.
Citing an affidavit of Varsha in a legal matter wherein she had claimed a loss of about 13 crores in her 6 years of marriage with an average earning of Rs 20 lakh per movie, Anubhav stated it implicates she was earning something equal to that before marriage and also and must have paid income tax over the earning.
He questioned can she provide proof of having paid the income tax on all her earnings during all the preceding years of her marriage while pursuing her acting career.
Anubhav also mentioned Varsha’s NGO in the letter questioning the source of income or funding of the NGO. He alleged she is diverting all her black money earned through other or unknown sources into the NGO in order to convert them into white.
He also referred to the amount claimed to be spent on his wedding by Varsha’s mother Deepa Sahoo. Anubhav questioned can she provide the proof of the money spent and demanded that the matter should be thoroughly probed by the ED.
Varsha is yet to react to the allegations.
