Cuttack: Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) has set up the Barabati Food Court near the famous Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. In the second phase of this project, the civic body has invited applications for the allotment of 38 shop spaces in two different categories. Interested businesspersons and organizations can submit their applications by 5 PM on April 24, 2026.
The food court has two large premium shops under Category A. Each of these shops measures 516 square feet and comes with free FAB facilities along with a terrace. The monthly rent for these premium shops has been fixed at ₹26,400. Applicants for these big shops must have at least seven years of experience in quick service restaurants. They also need to submit income tax returns for the last three years and prove an annual business turnover of at least Rs 12 lakh. Additionally, they must possess valid Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, GST number, Food License, and Trade License.
Apart from these, there are 36 standard shop units built with concrete structures in Category B. The monthly rent for each of these shops is Rs 6,600. These shops will be allotted for a period of three years on a license basis.
According to the rules, one person or organization can apply for only one shop space. Even if an applicant applies for multiple shops, they will be allotted only one shop if found eligible.
Aspiring applicants can download the application form and other necessary details from the official website of Cuttack Municipal Corporation at https://cmccuttack.odisha.gov.in. The completed application forms along with required documents should be sent through Speed Post, Registered Post, India Post, or Courier to the Commissioner, Cuttack Municipal Corporation, Biju Bhawan, Choudhury Bazar, Cuttack.
This move by the Cuttack Municipal Corporation is expected to promote quality food outlets and enhance commercial activities in the prime area near Barabati Stadium.
