Bhubaneswar: Hotelier Siba Prasad Das appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in response to a summon for questioning in connection with the investigation into money laundering case involving Archana Nag.
Das reached the ED office with his advocate. The ED has already interrogated many influential persons including Ollywood film producers Akshaya Parija and Pramod Swain, businessman Gangadhar Samal, and others.
Nag and her husband Jagabandhu Chand are lodged in the Special Jail here at Jharpara. The couple allegedly amassed assets worth Rs 30 crore within four years by blackmailing influential people. The case is currently being probed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
According to a complaint, Archana had demanded Rs 3 crore from Parija threatening him of making his objectionable videos and photographs with a woman public.
The bail petition of Nag was rejected by the JMFC-3 Court in Bhubaneswar yesterday. Today the Bhubaneswar ADJ-2 court rejected the bail plea of Chand.
