Armed Robbers Loot Jewellery Worth Rs 25 Lakh From Keonjhar Businessman

Bhubaneswar: Six armed miscreants looted jewellery worth Rs 25 lakhs from a businessman and his son near Urti Chhak under Champua police station limits in Keonjhar district.

As per reports, Hiranyamayee Sahoo runs a jewellery shop in the name of Om Jewellery at Urti Square, He was returning home with his youngest son around 9 pm when the robbery took place.

The robbers threatened the father-son duo with guns and sharp weapons, trying to intimidate them into handing over the jewellery bag. Initially, the duo resisted, but the robbers brutally assaulted them and snatched the bag containing the valuables. After committing the crime, the robbers fled on two motorcycles towards Karanjia Road. Sahoo reported the incident to locals, who chased the robbers but couldn’t catch them inforagam.com.

On a tip-off, police rushed to the spot and initiated an investigation, but the robbers remained at large.
