Bhubaneswar: Noted industrialist Karan Adani, CEO of Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd, met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Loka Seva Bhawan on Thursday to discuss avenues for industrial collaboration and infrastructure development in the state.
The meeting is being seen as significant as the Adani Group has announced major investments across various sectors in Odisha, ranging from aluminium to energy. The group is set to invest Rs 1 lakh crore in the aluminium industry in the state.
During the meeting, Karan Adani discussed all proposed projects with the Chief Minister. Later, he also met Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo at Kharavela Bhawan.
Discussions centered on the investments being made by Adani Group in the state’s clean energy sector and on how the state’s long-term energy security and clean energy goals can be fulfilled.
Additional Chief Secretary of Industries Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of Energy Vishal Kumar Dev and other senior officials were present in the meetings.
