Armed Robbery In Jharsuguda: Miscreants Beat Couple, Decamp With 15 Tolas Of Gold, Rs 7L Cash

Jharsuguda: A brazen armed robbery occurred in Talamundu, under Laikera police station in Jharsuguda district where a couple was beaten and robbed of 15 tolas of gold jewellery and Rs 7 lakh cash late Monday night.

As per reports, the masked robbers, armed with swords and pistols, broke into the house around 1 am while Prakash and his wife Jhili were sleeping. They reportedly tied up Prakash and Jhili, and looted their valuables.  The accused were reportedly speaking in Odia and sambalpuri language.

Police investigation is underway, with the scientific team examining the crime scene and Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police overseeing the probe.
