Arun Kumar Sarangi Appointed Odisha DGP In-Charge

Bhubaneswar: Senior IPS officer Arun Kumar Sarangi has been appointed as the In-Charge Director General of Police (DGP), Odisha.

Sarangi, a 1990 batch IPS officer who is at present Spl.DG of Police, Training & Director, BPSPA will remain in additional charge of DG of Police, Odisha until regular DGP joins.

“Arun Kumar Sarangi, IPS (RR-1990) at present SPl DG of Police, Training & Director, BPSPA is allowed to remain in additional charge of DG of Police, Odisha until regular DGP joins,” read a notification issued by the Home Department on Saturday.

The Odisha government on November 18 allowed DGP Sunil Kumar Bansal to take retirement from the government service on December 31 on completion of his two years tenure as DGP (HoPF) of Odisha.
