Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, Dinakrushna Mishra, the suspended Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of Bharatpur police station, on Wednesday appeared before the SDJM Court in Bhubaneswar in connection with the alleged assault on an Indian Army officer, and his fiancee. He gave his consent to undergo the polygraph test, as well as other tests, as part of the investigation.
According to sources, Mishra will undergo a polygraph test once the court’s directive is received. This development comes after Crime Branch filed a petition in SDJM court for Mishra’s polygraph test to verify the allegations levelled against him. Mishra has consented to the test, which aims to verify the authenticity of the accusations made against him. Besides, Mishra also gave his consent to undergo narco-analysis and brain-mapping tests.
It is worth noting that Mishra and the other four cops of Bharatpur police station allegedly assaulted and misbehaved with the Indian Army officer and his fiancée when they went to the police station to file a complaint regarding road rage. Five cops, including Mishra, have been suspended in connection with the incident.
