Cuttack: With just over a fortnight left for the historic Bali Jatra in Cuttack auction of plots for the annual tradefair commenced from today for traders who had registered their names for setting up stalls at the Bali Jatra ground.
The auction process which began at 10:00 AM was held at 10 counters set up in 6 places which include Barabati Palace, Collector’s office, and DRDA office.
Auction of plots will continue till November 15. It is being conducted with utmost transparency under the supervision of the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) and district administration.
While 5,000 to 10,000 square feet of space has been earmarked for premium patrons, 1,000 to 5,000 square feet has been earmarked for gold patrons. An individual, businessman or institution is allowed to select a maximum of three plots.
Over 900 businessmen have registered for availing plots at the Bali Jatra ground.
