Balanga Minor Girl Dies At AIIMS-Delhi; CM Majhi Expresses Grief

Bhubaneswar: The minor girl of Balanga in Puri, who was struggling for life at AIIMS-Delhi after suffering burn injuries, succumbed to burns at the county’s premier health institute. She breathed her last at 6.22 PM today while undergoing treatment.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep grief over the untimely demise of the minor girl. Through a post on ‘X’, Majhi stated that he is deeply saddened to hear about the death of the Balanga minor girl.

“I am deeply shocked to hear the news of the death of the girl victim in the Balanga incident. Despite all the efforts of the government and the round-the-clock endeavours of the special medical team at AIIMS Delhi, her life could not be saved,” he stated.

The girl had suffered serious burn injuries on July 19.  She was first admitted to AIIMS- Bhubaneswar and later shifted to Delhi for advanced treatment.

The Crime Branch is currently investigating the case to determine the cause of the incident.
