Bhubaneswar: Balasore police on Tuesday apprehended a brown sugar peddler with possession of 260 grams of the contraband estimated to be worth Rs 26 lakh near Malgodamsahi under Jaleswar police limits on. The accused is among the major suppliers of brown sugar in the area and was wanted in a previous case where 250 grams of brown sugar was recovered from his buyer.
The Anti-Narcotics Task Force of Balasore police has arrested 11 people and seized about 1.5 kg of brown sugar in seven different cases. In one of the cases, an inter-state drug peddler was also apprehended and further his links are being investigated.
