Bhubaneswar: The Banakalagi ritual of Mahaprabhu Lord Jagannath and His siblings will be performed at the Adapa Mandapa of Srigundicha Temple on Sunday. For this, public darshan will remain closed from 9 pm to 3 am, the temple administration has informed.
Devotees are currently having the rare glimpse of the Holy Trinity on the Adapa Mandapa. Pilgrims will continue to get darshan of Mahaprabhu at Gundicha Temple from Sunday until Bahuda. According to temple officials, the Banakalagi will be conducted after the second Bhogamandap.
Before that, the Hera Panchami ritual will be observed at the Adapa Mandapa on Monday.
From today, devotees are getting the good fortune of having darshan of the Deities at Gundicha Temple. This is the first time this year that Mahaprabhu will be seen by devotees inside the temple, and lakhs of pilgrims are waiting eagerly for it.
Devotees can also have Anna Mahaprasad at Anand Bazaar inside the Gundicha Temple during their stay.
