Bhadrak: The dismembered body of a bank employee was found on the railway tracks near Kendupada railway station in Bhadrak district.

The deceased has been identified as Lalatendu Barik of Sherpur village in Kedarpur panchayat under Sabrang police limits. Laltendu was an employee of Union Bank of India

Lalatendu had left the bank last evening but did not reach home. After a long search, his family members found his scooty near the railway station late Thursday night. Later, his dismembered body was found lying on the track.

On being informed, police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for autopsy. It is unclear why and under what circumstances he was killed. It is suspected that Laltendu jumped before a speeding train to end his life.
