Balangir: Manager of Odisha Gramya Bank, Bandhapada branch in Balangir district Sushant Kumar Bhoi was killed in a tragic road accident after a speeding truck collided with his car on Bandhapada road today.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 3:30 PM while Bhoi was on his way to meet clients for official bank work. Following the high-speed collision, Bhoi’s car veered off the road and crashed into a tree, leading to his death on the spot.
Locals rushed to the scene and alerted the police. Bandhapada police arrived shortly and shifted the severely injured bank manager to Bhima Bhoi Medical College Hospital in Balangir, where he was declared dead by doctors.
The truck responsible for the accident fled the scene but was later intercepted and detained by the police. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances of the crash and take appropriate legal action.
