Barabati Stadium To Host India–Sri Lanka T20I On Dec 24

Cuttack: The historic Barabati Stadium is set to host an international cricket match as India national cricket team take on Sri Lanka national cricket team in the second T20 International on December 24, 2026, as per the schedule for Sri Lanka’s tour of India.

According to the itinerary, the tour will commence with a three-match ODI series starting on December 13 in Delhi, followed by fixtures in Bengaluru on December 16 and Ahmedabad on December 19. The teams will then shift to the T20I leg, beginning with the first match in Rajkot on December 22.

Cuttack will host the second T20I on December 24, with the match scheduled to begin at 7 PM. The third and final T20I will be played in Pune on December 27.

The announcement has generated excitement among cricket enthusiasts in Odisha, with Barabati Stadium once again set to witness international action. The venue last hosted an international match on December 9, 2025, when India faced South Africa national cricket team in a T20I. India had registered a commanding 101-run victory in that encounter.
