Bargarh: The Bheden police arrested 12 persons from a gambling den located in Kudopali village under Sunalarambha Panchayat in Bargarh district on Sunday.
Acting on a credible tip-off, the police conducted a raid at the gambling den, where they arrested the accused and seized cash amounting to Rs 1,76,260. Alongside the cash, gambling materials were also confiscated.
The operation also led to the seizure of 21 motorcycles, one Bolero vehicle, one Ertiga, one Nexon car, and 15 mobile phones, all believed to be linked to the gambling activities.
Following the arrests, a case (No. 208) under Section 3 of the Odisha Prevention of Gambling (OPG) Act has been registered and forwarded to the court for further legal action.
