Baripada: A schoolteacher of Dhenkinenjia Upper Primary School under Baripada block in Mayurbhanj district has gone missing while on census duty.
According to reports, the teacher has not returned home since yesterday and her mobile phone is switched off. An FIR has been registered at Baripada Sadar Police Station following a complaint by the Mayurbhanj District Teachers’ Coordination Committee.
Based on the complaint, police have initiated mobile tracking to trace her location. Besides, the Block Education Officer (BEO) and District Education Officer (DEO) have been informed. The DEO has also discussed the matter with the District Collector and Superintendent of Police.
The district administration and police have swung into action and launched an intensive search operation to locate and safely bring back the missing teacher.
This incident has caused concern among teachers and locals in the area.
