Bargarh: Bargarh police have on Tuesday arrested a professional criminal Amit Das in connection with Thursday’s armed robbery of over Rs 9 lakh from Utkal Gramin Bank, Barpali in Bargarh district.
Rs 4.26 lakh in cash, 5 cars, 2 bikes, a pistol used in the crime and 7 mobile phones from Amit’s possession, police said.
Amit alias Gurudev has several cases pending against his name at various police stations of Bargarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Raigarh, Bolangir, etc, police added.
Police said others involved in the bank robbery will be nabbed soon.
