Bhubaneswar: BJP’s national President JP Nadda and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi are scheduled to visit Odisha on April 28 to address public meetings in Berhampur and Rayagada respectively.
Nadda will meet BJP workers at Nabarangpur after addressing a public gathering in Berhampur, informed the former BJP President of Odisha unit Samir Mohanty.
With BJP focusing on the weak seats for the upcoming General Elections, the party’s national president Nadda’s visit to the state will play a crucial role ahead of both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
It may be noted that BJP has been trying to find its foothold in Odisha but has been unable to form the government so far as the saffron party has not been able to breach the Patnaik bastion.
According to sources Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will visit the state on April 28 to address a public meeting in Rayagada. AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi will rally in the district before the Koraput parliamentary seat goes for polls on May 13, Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka, the constituency’s current MP and Congress candidate, said on Thursday.
“A complete roadmap has been prepared for our electioneering as part of which Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy and former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Bhagel will also campaign in the constituency, apart from Rahul and Priyanka,” Ulaka added.
