Berhampur Youth Who Set Himself Ablaze Shifted To SCB Hospital In Critical Condition

Bhubaneswar: The youth, who was undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College and Hospital after attempting self-immolation by pouring petrol on himself and setting himself ablaze at Methu Chhak under Bada Bazar police station in the city, has been shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital.

Hailing from Berhampur, Suraj Sahu has sustained 80% burn injuries. Before setting himself on fire, he posted a cryptic message on Instagram, saying, “If something happens to me, no one is responsible.” This cryptic message has left many questioning the circumstances that led to this incident.

Police, meanwhile, have initiated an investigation into the matter, working to uncover the reasons behind the youth’s extreme action.

Initially, he was rushed to MKCG Medical College and Hospital. As his condition deteriorated, he he was shifted to SCB Hospital in Cuttack.
