Bhubaneswar: Sleuths of the Odisha Vigilance On Friday launched simultaneous house searches at various properties related to Kandarpa Pradhan, Additional Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation Circle, KBK, Bhawanipatna in Odisha’s Kalahandi district.
The raids are being undertaken by a team of Vigilance officials comprising 4 DSPs, 10 Inspectors and other staff at eight locations in Khordha, Angul and Kalahandi districts following allegations of disproportionate assets amassed by Pradhan. The action is on the basis of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, in Bhubaneswar.
As per a communiqué issued by the Odisha Vigilance, searches are being conducted in Flat No. 301, Baishno Monarch Apartment, Govindaprasad mouza, Rasulgarh (Behind Esplanade) in Bhubaneswar; Flat No. 001 in the 1st Floor of Vaishno Regency, Kharavelnagar mouza, Unit-III in Bhubaneswar; Flat No. 101, 1st Floor at the Imperial Apartment at Shaheed Nagar in Bhubaneswar; one under-construction double storied building at Turanga mouza (1/682, khata No. 153 and plot No. 1/682, khata No. 153) in Angul district; one plot surrounded by brick wall at Khilar mouza (plot No. 169, khata No. 382 and plot No. 169/4927 khata No. 649/486) in Angul district; the paternal house of Kandarpa Pradhan at village Bantol under Thakurgarh police station limits in Angul district and the government quarter of Pradhan located at MI Colony, Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district.
In addition, the office chamber of Pradhan located at O/o Additional Chief Engineer M.I. Circle KBK, Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district is also being searched by the Vigilance sleuths.
