Bhubaneswar: Good news for fliers. Regular flight services between Bhubaneswar and Durgapur are scheduled to begin on August 30. IndiGo Airlines will operate flights on this route.
It was informed by the Director of Durgapur Airport, Kailash Mandal.
The flight service between Bhubaneswar and Bagdogra (Siliguri) will be available four days a week.
Similarly, flights connecting Bhubaneswar to Guwahati will be available three days a week.
“Booking for flights has already commenced with airlines providing attractive fare. The new flight service aims to augment the tourism sector. Shanti Niketan, a world heritage site, is just a 1 hour 15-minute drive from Durgapur. Other attractive places are also accessible from Durgapur,” Mandal said.
