Bhubaneswar: A high-energy Promo Run for the upcoming OMC Puri Coastal Marathon was organised in Bhubaneswar today, bringing together runners, fitness enthusiasts and citizens to build momentum and generate wider awareness ahead of the much-anticipated sporting event.
The Promo Run was flagged off by Pravati Parida, Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha; Sidhant Mohapatra, MLA, Digapahandi; Balwant Singh, Commissioner-cum-Secretary; Bhupendra Singh Poonia, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of Sports & Youth Services; and Deepankar Mohapatra, Director Tourism.
The Bhubaneswar Promo Run served as an important curtain-raiser to the OMC Puri Coastal Marathon, encouraging people from different walks of life to embrace running and an active lifestyle. It also provided an opportunity to build greater excitement around the upcoming marathon and encourage participation from runners and fitness communities across the state.
The OMC Puri Coastal Marathon will offer participants an opportunity to run along the iconic coastline of Puri, bringing together the themes of fitness, community participation and destination experience. Beyond promoting a culture of fitness, the marathon is envisioned as a platform to showcase Puri as a vibrant destination for sports and active tourism.
The Bhubaneswar Promo Run is part of a wider promotional campaign leading up to the marathon, with the objective of taking the message of fitness and participation to communities across Odisha and encouraging runners from across the country to be part of the event.
With growing enthusiasm among the running and fitness community, the OMC Puri Coastal Marathon is set to bring together participants in a celebration of sport, wellness, community and the coastal spirit of Puri.
