Bhubaneswar: A delegation of government-accredited journalists from Bhubaneswar today met Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan and formally submitted a memorandum highlighting the various difficulties they faced while covering this year’s Rath Yatra in Puri.

Every year, the Information and Public Relations Department arranges for government-recognised journalists from Bhubaneswar to travel to Puri for Rath Yatra coverage. However, this year, several challenges were encountered by the journalists on the ground, prompting them to bring the matter directly to the Chief Minister’s attention.

During the meeting, the journalists detailed their concerns. Chief Minister Majhi listened attentively and assured the delegation that the government would take appropriate steps to address these problems in future events.

Senior journalists present at the meeting included Sanat Mishra, Pradyumna Kumar Mohanty, Bhagwat Tripathi, Pabitra Mohan Samantaray, Partha Sarathi Jena, Kishore Chandra Mangaraj, Debakanta Mohapatra, Swaroop Kumar Mohanty, Gajendranath Behera, Sanatan Dalabehera, Subodh Kanungo, Suryakanti Nayak, Deb Mohanty, and Swadesh Das.
