Bhubaneswar: Aparajita Sarangi, Member of Parliament (MP) from Bhubaneswar, met the wife of Prashant Satpathy, who was killed in the Pahalgam terror attack, and offered her condolences on Wednesday.
As per reports, Sarangi paid her respects to the citizens who lost their lives in the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Among the victims was Prashant Satpathy, a young man from Odisha. She consoled the wife and son of Prasant Satpathy. The MP is in Jammu & Kashmir for a Public Accounts Committee meeting.
In a heart-wrenching scene, Prashant’s wife clung to Sarangi, recounting the tragic events. Sarangi urged the family to stay strong during this difficult time and expressed sympathy for their loss.

It is pertinent to mention that Prashant, an accountant at CIPET in Balasore, was on a trip to Jammu and Kashmir with his wife, Priyadarshini and son when he was killed in a terrorist attack. His brother, Sushant Kumar Satpathy, received a call yesterday afternoon around 2:30 pm and was informed about Prashant’s death, while his wife and son were reported safe.
The news of Prashant’s death has sent shockwaves in the local community, with many visiting his home to offer condolences.
