Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha, is all set to expand its air connectivity with two new domestic destinations, Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh and Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar.

As announced by the Chief Minister’s Office, flight services to these destinations will commence on March 30 under the state government’s New Destination Policy.

Daily flights will operate from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar to Hindon Airport at Ghaziabad and Veer Savarkar International Airport at Port Blair.

This development is expected to boost connectivity and facilitate travel between Odisha and these key destinations.

CMO Odisha has made a significant announcement regarding the expansion of air connectivity in the state in its X handle.

“Aviation Bonanza for Bhubaneswar! Sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi as new flights to Ghaziabad (Hindon) & Port Blair to take off shortly under the New Destination Policy – boosting tourism, trade & seamless connectivity.”

Additionally, the CMO stated, “With Viksit Odisha in motion, Odisha takes a bold leap toward a more connected future, driving economic growth and enriching cultural exchanges!”
