Bhubaneswar: Police have seized the body of a young woman from Tarini Basti in Bharatpur locality on the outskirts of the city.
The young woman’s body bears an injury mark on the neck.
It is suspected that the young woman was murdered during a feast before her body was dumped.
Bharatpur police have seized the body and are investigating the matter.
The forensic team and senior police officials have reached the spot and an investigation is underway.
Reportedly, the deceased young woman has been identified as Surekha Palei and she hailed from Brahmagiri area of Puri district.
Police have seized two mobile phones found near the body.
Reports said that some youths had a feast on Sunday night and the woman had also taken part in it.
