Bike-Borne Miscreants Loot Over Rs 10 Lakh From Traders In Balasore

Balasore: Armed miscreants on motorcycles allegedly looted Rs 10,53,000 from two potato traders near Sheragada UCO Bank under Khantapada police limits on Monday.

According to reports, the victims, Biswaranjan Sahoo of Remuna Mangalpur area and Sagar Mallik of Srikhandpur, were intercepted by six miscreants while returning to Remuna after collecting money from their debtors. The assailants, wielding a chopper, forcibly seized the cash before fleeing the scene.

Following the incident, Sahoo and Mallik filed a complaint with the Khantapada police. In response, the police visited the crime scene and reviewed CCTV footage from a nearby toll gate to identify the perpetrators.

Investigations are ongoing as the police work to track down the culprits and recover the stolen money.
