Koraput: A biker was killed in a collision between a bike and a truck on national highway no. 26 in Jeypore.
The biker who was killed on the spot has been identified as Nirmal Dey of Bije 2 under Jeypore Sadar police limits.
Jeypore Sadar police seized the body and sent it for the conduct of autopsy at the district headquarters hospital at Jeypore.
Following the accident, locals blocked the highway demanding compensation for the family of the deceased. The blockade was vacated after the police intervened.
Meanwhile, police seized the truck and launched an investigation into the matter after registering a case.
