Bhubaneswar: Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates, who is on a one-day visit to the State, visited the Mission Shakti Bazaar, here today.
Gates interacted with Mission Shakti Self Help Group (SHG) Members and also visited the Koraput Coffee Shop during his visit to the newly inaugurated Mission Shakti Bazaar.
Chairman 5T and Nabin Odisha Kartik Pandian and Commissioner-Cum-Secretary, Mission Shakti, Sujata Rout Karthikeyan also held discussions with Gates during his visit to Mission Shakti Bazaar.
The Mission Shakti Bazaar was inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday.
It is owned and operated by a producer Company of SHGs called Khordha Matru Shakti Farmers Producers Company Ltd.
It has as its shareholders nearly 200 SHGs, Producer Groups and Producer Companies comprising SHGs.
The main aim of this Bazaar is to give a sale platform to Mission Shakti products ensuring sustainable markets and competitive prices.
